The British Empire's ties that bind loosened a little more last week. Ceylon, smallest of the dominions, decided not to fly the British Union Jack or to play God Save the Queen at official functions. Ceylonese have a flag of their own and their own Anthem, Namo Namo Matha (Hail, Hail, Mother):
